About HEAD CHEF 

The owner and chef, Daisy, loves cooking and it's her passion. Daisy came to Canada in 2002 from Myanmar. Her first job is at Tsawwassen Golf & Country Club and that's where she learned how to cook Western food. After that, she owned and run Sushi business in 2009 that's inside Thrifty Foods store in Victoria at Admirals Walk. From sushi business, she wanted to showcase her talent in making authentic Burmese, Chinese & Malaysian food like home-cooked meals for customers and pursued Laksa King. She gets gratification from seeing happy customers who love her food and leaving the restaurant with 100% satisfaction. Daisy can cook multicultural cuisines and she accepts special catering orders or private functions.  Laksa King is a family run restaurant.  


When she was in Burma, she worked with her best friend who is the owner of a famous Burmese Bakery shop called Shwe Pu Zun Bakery. That’s where she learned how to make a few famous Burmese dessert like Faluda that's available at our restaurant.

our style of food

Our restaurant food can be considered as Southeast Asian style: Malaysian, Thailand, Singaporean,  Burmese and Taiwanese Fu-Jian Style. We use different spices and our dishes are flavorful. We follow authentic recipe and with the chef's experience and talent, our dishes are guaranteed one of a kind.  Concept is freshly prepared and home-cooked style meals. We want to make sure our customers get the best quality food; some of our items take longer time to cook than others. All items on the menu can be customized to meet our customers need: Vegan, Vegetarian, as well as none spicy to extra spicy. Just make sure to advise the server of food allergies before ordering.
